Michelle's passion for dance began when she was a young child. She took ballet, tap and gymnastics classes throughout her childhood into her early teens, and in high school, she was on the competition dance and drill team. Later in life she trained in Jazz and Modern dance and dabbled in hip hop. In 2004, she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and stepped away from the dance scene.

Michelle never lost her passion for dance and after finally going into partial remission in 2009 she found belly dancing and it quickly became an integral part of her life. Becoming completely obsessed with tribal style belly dance, her passion led her to start teaching both American Tribal Style® and Tribal Fusion belly dance.

Michelle has recently graduated with her Masters degree in Teaching and is a High School Mild/Moderate Special Education Science Teacher by day. After being on hiatus from Belly Dance for the last two years to focus on her grad studies, Michelle is returning in 2018 to the Belly Dance scene and is excited to introduce her new Bindi line!
