Michelle's passion for dance began when she was a young child. She took ballet, tap and gymnastics classes throughout her childhood into her early teens, and in high school, she was on the competition dance and drill team. Later in life she trained in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern dance and dabbled in hip hop. In 2004, she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and stepped away from the dance scene.

Michelle never lost her passion for dance and after finally going into partial remission in 2009 she found belly dancing and it quickly became an integral part of her life. Becoming completely obsessed with belly dance, her passion led her to train with several master teachers. Over time she found a deep love of sword dancing and fire dancing to add to her dance style.

Michelle will graduate this summer with her Masters degree in Teaching and is a High School Mild/Moderate Special Education - Science Teacher and a Home and Hospital Teacher for students that are unable to attend school due to their disabilities.
